Auction for Literacy

Our auction is over! Are you a winning bidder?

Thank you for taking part in our book auction. If you’re a winner, here’s what happens next:

You will have received an email from ‘wordpress@charcharliteracy.org’. If you don’t see it, check your junk or spam folder.

The email will contain a unique PayPal link with the amount of your winning bid. Please make the donation as soon as possible after winning, and no later than the 15th June. The sooner we get your donation, the sooner we’ll be able to send your book! If you have any issues using the PayPal link, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Personalise your message

Want a personalised dedication? As soon as you make the payment, let us know who the author should make it out to by emailing us at info@charcharliteracy.org

Your book will be sent out by the author within a week of receiving the donation. And the money you paid will go to our Literacy for Malawi fundraiser, helping to transform literacy education in Malawi for children who need it most.

Any problems?

If you don’t see the email, or have any issues paying, please contact us at info@charcharliteracy.org.

Together we have raised over £1,000 through the fundraiser! It will fund our vital literacy project in Malawi. Thank you.

Thank you for supporting our Literacy for Malawi fundraiser! By bidding on a book, you’ll help children in Malawi to learn to read!

Each of the books in CharChar’s auction is a special copy signed by the author. Signed dedications can be personalised, and books will be sent out by the authors to the winner bidders after your payment is received. Click here to read the full guide to how our auction works.

Please note we are only able to ship to addresses in the UK.

Victoria Williamson – The Boy with the Butterfly Mind (8–12 years)

This auction has been sold to Marianne Doherty at £8.00 .

Jamie Lee just wants to be normal but his ADHD isn’t making it easy. If only he could control his butterfly mind then he’d have friends, be able to keep out of trouble, live with his mum and not be sent to stay with his dad.

Elin Watts just wants to be perfect. If she could be the best student and daughter possible, then maybe her dad would leave his new family and come back to Glasgow to live with Elin and her mum, happily ever after.

When Jamie and Elin’s families blend, the polar opposites of chaotic Jamie and ordered Elin collide. As their lives spiral out of control, Jamie and Elin discover that they’re actually more alike than they’d admit. Maybe there’s no such thing as normal, or perfect. And perhaps, just like families, happy-ever-afters come in all shapes and sizes.
