Auction for Literacy

Our auction is over! Are you a winning bidder?

Thank you for taking part in our book auction. If you’re a winner, here’s what happens next:

You will have received an email from ‘wordpress@charcharliteracy.org’. If you don’t see it, check your junk or spam folder.

The email will contain a unique PayPal link with the amount of your winning bid. Please make the donation as soon as possible after winning, and no later than the 15th June. The sooner we get your donation, the sooner we’ll be able to send your book! If you have any issues using the PayPal link, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Personalise your message

Want a personalised dedication? As soon as you make the payment, let us know who the author should make it out to by emailing us at info@charcharliteracy.org

Your book will be sent out by the author within a week of receiving the donation. And the money you paid will go to our Literacy for Malawi fundraiser, helping to transform literacy education in Malawi for children who need it most.

Any problems?

If you don’t see the email, or have any issues paying, please contact us at info@charcharliteracy.org.

Together we have raised over £1,000 through the fundraiser! It will fund our vital literacy project in Malawi. Thank you.

Thank you for supporting our Literacy for Malawi fundraiser! By bidding on a book, you’ll help children in Malawi to learn to read!

Each of the books in CharChar’s auction is a special copy signed by the author. Signed dedications can be personalised, and books will be sent out by the authors to the winner bidders after your payment is received. Click here to read the full guide to how our auction works.

Please note we are only able to ship to addresses in the UK.

This auction has been sold to Caroline Breyley at £12.00 .

What if nature fights back?

Still in a daze, I take it all in: the wind, the leaden skies, the churning moody sea.
And, far in the distance, a misty outline.
Skelsay.
Wilderness haven. Building-site. Luxury-retreat-to-be.
And now, home.

When her father’s construction work takes Em’s family to the uninhabited island of Skelsay, she is excited, but also a little uneasy. Soon Em, and her friend Zac, realise that the setbacks, mishaps and accidents on the island point to something altogether more sinister: the wilderness all around them has declared war.

Danger lurks everywhere. But can Em and Zac persuade the adults to believe it before it’s too late?
